Team Rules
1.
You are always on
TIME
a.
If you are late
to practice, your team runs until you arrive.
b.
If you miss a
practice, you sit the first half of the following game - makeup practices for
school-excused activities (not parent or doctor excused).
c.
If you miss a
game, you sit out the next game.
d.
You get 1 free miss
for the season (funeral, wedding)
e.
You are also on
time for team functions….not just practice and games.
2.
You are always prepared
a.
You show up to
practice in full gear….this includes shin guards
3.
You are always IN
CLASS striving for good GRADES
a.
You go to
class. You don’t go to class, you don’t play.
Exemptions granted on a case by case basis, only for those above 3.5.
b.
You are expected
to get good grades 2.0 or above.
Excellence in life demands our best at everything. We can’t do anything half-way and expect
great results.
4.
If you have a problem,
you come and talk to me first. Your parents are not to approach me with issues
if you have not first discussed it with me.
Team Expectations
1.
We expect you to
be fit and prepared.
2.
We expect you to
work. Don’t work and your team will work
harder.
3.
We expect you to
eat healthy. No soda, candy, or sugar cereals unless sanctioned by Coach T.
4.
We expect you to
sleep well. Weekdays you are in bed by 10:30 p.m.
5.
We expect you to
work on skills at home, minimum 20 minutes per day.
6.
We expect you to
show respect at all times to coaches, your team, your school and yourself
a.
No alcohol,
drugs, or any other substance use.
IMMEDIATE suspension.
b.
No indecent
behavior with the opposite sex.
IMMEDIATE suspension.
c.
No back-talking
or back-biting. IMMEDIATE suspension.
d.
No talking when
I’m talking.
e.
No walking, not
even to your car after practice.
f.
No swearing. No yelling at the referee. No kidding.
g.
No one goes home
until field is clean and equipment is put away.
h.
No abusing
equipment
7.
Game day -
everybody watches the game, no interacting with fans, stay in the game mentally.
I
_______________________________ promise to obey all the rules and accept the
consequences of my actions. I promise to work as hard as I can at every
practice and in every game, no matter my role. I promise to give my all to the
team. If I breach this agreement I understand I will lose my privilege to be on
the team.
